• Golf lands a postseason spot, besting A-B and Boston Latin (concordbridge.org) — Concord-Carlisle's golf team has clinched a postseason Sectionals berth after edging Acton-Boxborough 229–239 at Quail Ridge, powered by standout rounds from several Patriots. The squad also notched strong Dual County League wins over Boston Latin and Hopkinton, with multiple players carding low scores despite tough conditions. Locals can follow a team now 8–1 overall as it heads deeper into fall competition.
• The state desperately needs more housing. Could an old Army barracks at Devens be part of the answer? (bostonglobe.com) — Concord residents may see big changes ahead at the shuttered prison along Route 2, as state officials work with local leaders to envision it as a new neighborhood. That project is part of a broader statewide push to convert underused public land, including Devens' Vicksburg Square, into much-needed housing. Any Concord redevelopment would depend on funding and future zoning decisions.
