Mount Auburn Hospital is pleased to announce the opening of its state-of-the-art Cardiac Rehabilitation service, an outpatient program offered to individuals with cardiovascular disease. The program is designed to help improve overall health and achieve a better quality of life through exercise, education and counseling.
This new service will serve as a comprehensive care program to those recovering from all forms of heart ailments and is covered by most insurance policies. Instead of having to visit a separate rehabilitation facility, Mount Auburn patients will be able to stay with the doctors they are familiar with and on-site as they work on alleviating their symptoms. Led by Medical Director, Kyle Pond, MD, patients will be overseen by a 5 person medical team including Concord resident Barbara Yee, RN.
Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, usually manifesting itself in people aged 40 and up. Key factors that affect cardiac health include family history, diabetes, stress, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, and smoking. “At Mount Auburn Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation service, our goal is to help all cardiovascular patients return to their optimal health, while educating them on the management of heart disease”, said Jeanette Clough, President and CEO of Mount Auburn Hospital.

This new service is located in the Saal Cardiovascular Center on the main floor of the Stanton Building and is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. For more information please visit http://www.mountauburnhospital.org.
