CONCORD – Author Amy Hassinger will discuss her newest book, After the Dam, at the Concord Free Public Library on Thursday, June 1st at 7PM. The author talk will take place in the Periodical Room of the Main Library at 129 Main Street. A book signing will follow the event.
Amy Hassinger is the author of two previous novels: Nina: Adolescence and The Priest’s Madonna. Her writing has been translated into five languages and has won awards from Creative Nonfiction, Publisher’s Weekly, and the Illinois Arts Council. Her work has appeared in numerous venues, including The New York Times, Creative Nonfiction, The Writers' Chronicle, and The Los Angeles Review of Books. Hassinger is a graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop and teaches in the University of Nebraska’s MFA in Writing Program.
