Award-Winning Author/Journalist Hank Phillippi Ryan to Speak, Public Invited

Hank Phillippi Ryan, a nationally-known award-winning author and investigative journalist whose novel THE WRONG GIRL just received the Agatha Award for Best Novel, will be the guest speaker at a charity dinner starting at 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 17 at the Holiday Inn, Boxborough. The general public is welcome at this event. The deadline to register is Tuesday, May 13.

Hank will entertain dinner guests with anecdotes from her career in investigative journalism, and insights into the life of a best-selling author. The rest of the dinner program will focus on the charitable efforts of Rotary International, which non-Rotarians should find interesting as well.

Ms. Ryan has received numerous awards, including 30 Emmys, 12 Edward R. Murrow awards, and dozens of other honors for her ground-breaking journalism. A bestselling author of six mystery novels, Ryan has won multiple prestigious awards for her crime fiction: the Agatha, Anthony, Macavity, and for THE OTHER WOMAN, the coveted Mary Higgins Clark Award. Her newest thriller, THE WRONG GIRL, is the 2013 Agatha Award winner for Best Contemporary Novel, a Left Coast Crime Award nominee, and four-week Boston Globe bestseller.

After dinner, there will be a book signing session sponsored by The Concord Bookshop. A number of Ms. Ryan's novels will be available for purchase.

$33 per person includes a full dinner with dessert andcoffee/tea. Pre-registration is required (NO walk-ins).
