Book Sale on Library Lawn Coming June 2

It’s back, better than ever.

The annual book sale on the lawn of the Concord Library is Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The much-anticipated event offers thousands of paperbacks and hard covers in all genres, most at $2. We have 12 tables of paperbacks alone.

There are also tables for media of all kinds, and, of course, boxes and boxes of children’s books.

As usual, cash and checks only, please.

The Friends of the Library work almost from the close of the sale a year ago to now sorting donated books into categories and filling hundreds of boxes that are carried out to the lawn.

There are maps of which books are where at various points so you can target specific categories, or just stroll up and down the aisles in the grass and pick up a bag or two of books you’ve always wanted to read.

Stock up on summer reading at the book sale! This year, you’ll notice lots of “vintage” books, a good supply of science fiction/fantasy, as well as hundreds of books on history, mysteries, biography, art, cooking, fiction and nonfiction, poetry, music and travel.

There’s something for every member of the family and it’s all on the lawn.

Refreshments are available.

Rain date is June 9.
