Come appreciate the wonders Umbrella student artists create! Admission is free and the galleries are open to all, as is the opening reception (<a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdRNEoF-wuExZ5yN_o5ikEkF518sHLkB36GgzI7mHSPpLQIwQ/viewform?usp=header" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">RSVP</a>).





Downstairs, the Allie Kussin Gallery will feature 2D works, including painting and drawing. The glass cases at the front of the building will feature a selection of 3D works from our ceramics and glass working classes.

Upstairs, youth and teen work will be exhibited in the Wedge gallery.&nbsp;

Susan Swinand, an artist with over 25 years of teaching experience (The Worcester Art Museum, Clark University, Wellesley College Greenhouses), will jury the exhibition and select one Grand Prize winner and a group of Honorable Mentions to receive scholarship funds to be applied to their next arts course at The Umbrella.

Goodwin will be performing their third studio release: “Then Rain, Then Wind.”&nbsp;Collaborating with poets across time and space,&nbsp;this album&nbsp;brings&nbsp;aged yet ever salient words to a new generation. Setting the&nbsp;poetry&nbsp;of Emily Dickinson, Rabindranath Tagore, Charles Baudelaire, Langston Hughes, and Li&nbsp;Qinghzhao&nbsp;to music, Goodwin has reached across the globe and through time to create a work that highlights&nbsp;the essential humanity that&nbsp;ties&nbsp;us all together. Join Michael, vocalist Emily Campagna, percussionist&nbsp;Yahuba&nbsp;Garcia, violinist Anne Preis, and cellist Celia Sieckert at the Concord Museum as they perform the album and discuss the unique process of bringing these songs to life.

Join the Concord Band, directed by James O’Dell, on the concert lawn this summer as the Band returns to the Fruitlands Outdoor Stage for its 41st season of live music. Concerts start at 7:15pm. The theme of the July 9 concert is “Born in the USA” and will feature spirited works by Leroy Anderson, Leonard Bernstein, Duke Ellington, John Williams and others. Bring your favorite fare, enjoy stunning sunset views, and settle in for an evening of timeless tunes performed by a 65-member ensemble representing 40 area towns. Bring a blanket and lawn chairs - there’s plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the evening. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. Limited seating is available on the patio. Both the patio and restrooms are wheelchair accessible. $10/non-members, $5/members, children under 6 free.
