Commuter Rail Train Hits Elderly Woman In Concord

The victim was flown to a Boston hospital with serious injuries.

CONCORD, MA — An elderly woman was flown to a Boston hospital after being struck by a Commuter Rail train near the Concord station Thursday afternoon. Transit police said the victim, about 70 years old, was hit by an inbound train on the Fitchburg Line.

The victim sustained serious injuries. None of the roughly 25 passengers aboard the train were injured.

Police are investigating.
