Concord Cannonball! Wait, No.
Something more decorative than destructive was unearthed in Concord this morning.

CONCORD, MA — An unearthed item initially believed to be a cannonball ended up being an old ornamental piece, police said Wednesday morning.
Concord Police said just before 10 a.m. a cannon ball was unearthed in the area of Monument Street and Lang Street. A State Police squad showed up shortly after and determined the small round object to be more decorative than destructive.
Concord Police seemed to intimate that you can never be too careful, tweeting out a thanks to the person who called it in and the hashtag #SEESOMETHINGSAYSOMETHING.
