The Concord Conservatory of Music now offers young girls a chorus to help them develop their voices. It introduces them to the art of choral singing while incorporating a comprehensive music education. The chorus features a challenging, performance-oriented curriculum for talented and dedicated choristers ages 9 - 14. No experience required, only a love of singing and enthusiasm for music.
Led by Dr. Greta Feeney, the Concord Conservatory Girls Chorus will meet this fall on Mondays at 5:00 pm. The chorus provides high-quality instruction focusing on vocal training, musicianship, and performance—all age-appropriate. During 90-minute sessions, girls grow their skills while building their self-esteem. It’s all about teamwork and singing together.
The Girls Chorus prepares young singers with the techniques necessary to perform music from a variety of styles, from classical to contemporary, in both unison and two- and three-part harmony. The girls gain performance experience through off-campus concerts. CCM nurtures the singers with a holistic approach that allows them to thrive! Through chorus rehearsals, the girls practice values such as discipline and cooperation necessary in performances and in life. It is our goal to develop each singer’s full musical potential as the group delivers polished performances.

Sign up for a required, free, and informal audition by calling CCM at (978) 369-0010 or at https://concordconservatory.org/Concord_Conservatory_Girls_Chorus. The 5-minute audition includes simple pitch-matching exercises, singing scales, and the familiar song, “Happy Birthday.” Financial assistance is available. CCM is located at 1317 Main Street in Concord (within the West Concord Union Church on the 2nd floor).
