CCM’s Beginner Vocals for ages 6 through 8 focuses on the development of your child’s voice as they sing age-appropriate songs from a musical theatre repertory. Singers will work on the basic elements of breathing, pitch, voice placement, range development, and tone (https://concordconservatory.org/Beginner_Vocals). In Young Vocals, students ages 9 through 13 learn how to improve their intonation and rhythm with fun exercises. This class will get students ready to perform an eclectic mix of music ranging from classical, to folk, to international styles. (https://concordconservatory.org/Young_Vocals).
New this fall is the Concord Conservatory Girls Chorus for ages 9 – 14. The Chorus will provide a comprehensive music education with vocal training and musicianship development. No experience is required – the only essentials are a love of singing and enthusiasm for music. Contact CCM today to schedule your child’s informal 5 – 10-minute audition. Free auditions include simple pitch-matching exercises, singing scales, and the familiar song, “Happy Birthday.” (Sign-up at https://forms.gle/CpS9tEqo5Kr5xtgK6)
