The Concord Fire Dept. Isn't Calling You, It's A Scam

CONCORD, MA — There are plenty of scam calls that circulated over the years, but the Concord Fire Department is highlighting one in particular that targets residents and poses as the department. The department said several residents have complained about calls from the fire department collecting money.

In an announcement through the town, Concord Fire Department warned residents to hang up the phone when they receive these calls. "The Concord Fire Department is NOT calling to raise money," the department said.

Never give personal or financial information over the phone to someone you don't know, if you receive one of these calls you can report it to the police.
