Concord Hires New Recreation Director

Ryan Kane will serve as new Director of the Concord Recreation Division.

CONCORD, MA—The Town of Concord is pleased to announce the hiring of the new Director of the Concord Recreation Division. Ryan Kane will start work full-time for the Town on May 23rd. Mr. Kane brings more than 20 years of experience to the table and will be an excellent addition to the Concord Recreation team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ryan Kane to Concord” said Assistant Town Manager Kate Hodges. “Ranked number one throughout our process, we are confident that Ryan will bring his vast knowledge and skills to the Division. On a more personal note, Ryan’s infectiously positive ‘can-do’ attitude has already been noticed and appreciated by staff who report they are excited for the future of Recreation in Concord.”

Mr. Kane has worked in the field of parks and recreation for more than 20 years. Since 2004, Ryan has served as the Assistant Director for Parks and Recreation in South Windsor, CT. He is a past president of the New England Park Association and a board member for Connecticut Recreation and Park Association. Additionally, Ryan has taught undergraduate courses in Recreation Program Development and Sports Marketing for Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic.

Mr. Kane earned a master’s degree in business and a bachelor’s degree in sports management from Southern New Hampshire University. He is also a graduate of the Business Institute for Revenue Development and Management from the National Recreation and Parks Association/North Carolina State University.
