Concord Light Asks Customers to Conserve Power Wednesday

Peak demand is expected to occur from 3 to 6 p.m.

The following is from Concord Municipal Light:

Based on the weather forecast and the ISO (Independent System Operator) New England forecasts for electricity demand, there is a potential for a peak demand hour on Wednesday, August 27th (tomorrow) between 3:00PM – 6:00PM.

If you can reduce your use of electricity during these hours, you will help to reduce electricity costs to all Concord Light customers. You might consider:

  • turning up your A/C a few degrees
  • postponing use of pool pumps, dryers, washing machines, and other appliances
  • planning a picnic supper, or cooking dinner on the grill
  • turning off lights not needed

Since 2010, our Google Group membership has grown steadily to 487 members (not including links our members have to others). We’re hoping to exceed 500 members this summer, so don’t forget to pass this information on to family and friends in Concord.
