Concord Orchestra Holds Winter Concert
Young artist violin soloist Haig Hovsepian will perform in a winter concert, "The Call of History" on Friday, January 29 and 30.

The Concord Orchestra, conducted by Richard Pittman, presents its winter concert, “The Call of History” on Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30. Haig Hovsepian, winner of the 2016 Ehlers Young Artist Competition, will perform the Khachaturian Violin Concerto in D minor. The Spectrum Singers will join the Concord Orchestra to perform Toward the Source by Joyce Mekeel and “From the Censer” from Solomon by George Fredrick Handel. The orchestra will also perform Symphony No. 5 by Felix Mendelssohn (Reformation). Both performances are at 8:00 pm at the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden in Concord. Competition runners-up will give a pre-concert recital each evening at 7:15. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for senior citizens, and $10 for students.
