Concord Police Log: Driving and Texting, Good Samaritan Helps Lost Elderly Woman

Mon., Oct. 6

  • 8:43 a.m. The traffic signal at Sudbury Road and Route 2 was malfunctioning.
  • 11:33 a.m. A woman was warned for driving and texting on Commonwealth Avenue.

Tue., Oct. 7

  • 8:34 a.m. A woman on Davis Court said she was the victim of identity theft.
  • 10:23 a.m. An elderly woman was reported walking around in Rotary Circle. It turned out she was lost and looking for directions to a doctor’s office. A passerby helped escort her in the right direction.
  • 5:55 p.m. A woman who parked her car on Baker Avenue said she was the victim of a hit-and-run.
  • 6:36 p.m. A motorist struck a deer on Walden Street.
  • 10:16 p.m. Benjamin Willard, 36, of Acton, was charged with driving without a license on Main Street.

  • 9:23 a.m. A woman on Garrison Road said someone stole her jewelry. She said it could have been her cleaners.
  • 10:55 a.m. A sick fox was reported on Ledge Road Rock.
  • 4:35 p.m. A 36-year-old Concord woman was charged with driving with a suspended license, having an uninsured vehicle, and having no inspection sticker.
  • 5:01 p.m. A lost Ridgeback/Mastiff mix dog was reported on Musketaquid Road.
  • 10:46 p.m. A man on Willow Street said he saw a man in his 20s near his house. The man ran away when a dog confronted him.
