Concord Police Log: Teen in Prius Cuts Off Driver, Makes Obscene Gesture

Mon., Aug. 18
- 1:13 p.m. The owner of Twins Seafood called police, saying he was the victim of an attempted National Grid scam.
- 1:24 p.m. A Thoreau Street resident said someone recently hit her mailbox with his/her car and fled the scene.
- 1:27 p.m. A woman from Winchester, N.H. was issued a summons for driving after suspension and having an unregistered vehicle.
- 4:51 p.m. A caller said a teenager driving a Toyota Prius cut her off on Old Road then made an obscene gesture.
- 10:55 p.m. A man from Germantown, Maryland was charged with speeding and operating without a license.
Tue., Aug. 19
- 7:40 a.m. Speeding dump trucks were reported on Sudbury Road.
- 9:41 a.m. A loose, black dog was reported on Westford Road.
- 9:59 a.m. A loose, white terrier dog was reported on Sudbury Road.
- 1:13 p.m. A Peabody man was charged with driving without a license and not having an inspection sticker following a traffic stop on Barretts Mill Road.
- 5:03 p.m. A Hudson man was cited for running a stop sign on Lowell Road, causing a crash.
- 5:07 p.m. A woman on Indian Spring Road called police and said someone vandalized her mailbox. It turned out to be a family member who was replacing the mailbox with a new one.
- 5:41 p.m. A caller said a dog was locked in a hot car on Main Street. An officer responded and found the vehicle was on, with the air conditioning turned up. No charges were filed.
