Concord Police Log: Woman Drives Car to Walk Dog; Car Thief Caught in the Act; OUI on Route 2

The following are excerpts from the Concord police log. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction.

Mon., Nov. 10

  • 12:48 a.m. Following a traffic stop on Route 2, a Vermont man was cited for operating without a license.
  • 9:14 a.m. A caller on Estabrook Road said a woman was driving down the street with her dog chasing the vehicle. The woman told police she’s handicapped and can’t physically walk the animal.
  • 9:15 a.m. A caller on Crabtree Road said credit cards were stolen from his vehicle.
  • 7:47 p.m. A brother of a man who lives on Main Street called police, saying he had no contact with him since December 2013.

Tue., Nov. 11

  • 12:35 p.m. Two loose pug dogs were reported at RIdeout Field.

  • 2:12 a.m. Sara Batres, 24, of Ayer, was charged with OUI, a lane violation, following too closely, and driving an unregistered vehicle. She was arrested following a traffic stop on Route 2 west.
  • 2:43 a.m. Matthew Troiano, 23, of Woburn, was charged with trying to break into vehicles in the Damon Street area. He was arrested after a resident said he saw Troiano in dark clothing checking vehicles to see if they were open.
  • 11:19 a.m. A vehicle at a business on Baker Avenue Extension was vandalized.
  • 2:28 p.m. A fencing academy on Commonwealth Avenue was tagged with graffiti.
