Concord Woman Reports Being Chased by Skunk

The following is an excerpt from the Concord Police Department's log: 


Monday, Feb. 17: 

• At 9:03 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Laurel Street.
• At 2:13 p.m., a Lowell Road resident called police to report a possible scamming attempt.
• At 7:55 p.m., the local animal control officer was advised of a dog complaint on Sudbury Road.
• At 10:03 p.m., police responded to a report of a past motor vehicle accident at Emerson Hospital on Old Road.

Tuesday, Feb. 18:

• At 1:13 a.m., police responded to a traffic light issue on Sudbury Road.
• At 11:48 a.m., police responded to a parking complaint on Lexington Road.
• At 12:35 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Thoreau Street.
• At 12:36 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury on Shadyside Avenue.
• At 12:47 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Lexington Road.
• At 6:47 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Main Street.
• At 9:05 p.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Coburn Hill Road.
• At 11:11 p.m., police received word that a plow had struck a parked car in the parking lot of Emerson Hospital.
• At 11:24 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Elm Street.

Wednesday, Feb. 19: 

• At 6:38 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Main Street.
• At 6:57 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Baker Avenue.
• At 9:15 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Main Street. Corey Despres, of 27 Catacunmeaug Road, Shirley, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
• At 9:22 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a Concord Fire pickup truck on Baker Avenue. All units were advised to be on the look out for a box truck with a paper shredder on the side that reportedly left the scene.
• At 11:19 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Main Street. Loretta V. Gray, of 27 Roundhill St., Jamaica Plain, was arrested on charges of operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense.
• At 1:59 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Lowell Road.

Thursday, Feb. 20: 

• At 9:52 a.m., a Conant Street resident called police to report being the victim of credit card fraud.
• At 1:34 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Musterfield Road.
• At 2:14 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on the Concord Turnpike. Gaetano Colomba, of 90 Cedar St., Somerville, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
• At 2:49 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Channing Road.
• At 5:52 p.m., police responded to an alarm on Baker Avenue.
• At 11:11 p.m., the manager an Crosby's Market on Sudbury Road called police to report that a vendor had her vehicle broken into and a laptop and other items were missing. 

Friday, Feb. 21: 

• At 1:45 a.m., police conducted a well-being check on Old Road.
• At 6:02 a.m., police responded to an alarm on Elm Street.
• At 11:42 a.m., police responded to a report of suspicious activity on Commerford Road.
• At 2:05 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident with injury on Sidney Lane.
• At 2:53 p.m., an employee at the UPS store on Thoreau Street called police to report that someone had entered the store and asked for a fake ID. An officer spoke with the customer who said he was just joking.
• At 7:53 p.m., a Prarie Street woman called police to report that a "skunk chased her into her house and was now under her car and wouldn't leave." The animal control officer was notified and responded.
