Concord Police Seek Suspicious Man who Approached Child

Police say the man in question allegedly approached an elementary school student Thursday afternoon.

CONCORD – Chief Joseph O'Connor reports that the Concord Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspicious person who approached a child on Thursday.

At approximately 3:45 p.m. Thursday, an elementary school student was approached by man driving a newer model white four-door sedan. The man called out to the child and told the boy that he had candy. The child continued walking until he reached home. He looked back as he entered his home, and the student saw that the man had exited his car and appeared to be taking photos with his cell phone.

This individual is wanted for questioning about the incident at this time.
The person of interest is described as a white male, approximately 35-40 years old with a stocky build and a slight beard on his chin. He stands at between 5'9" and 6' tall and was wearing jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
