Concord Police Testing Cameras on K-9 Unit

The department is participating in a pilot program using military-grade equipment developed by Newburyport-based Blueforce Development.

The Concord Police Department is testing new technology for its K-9 unit.

CBS Boston reported the department is participating in a pilot program using military-grade equipment developed by Newburyport-based Blueforce Development.

The program includes cameras strapped to a K-9’s back and an implantable temperature sensor that measure’s the dog’s body heat.
