Concord Reconstruction/Repaving Projection Delayed A Year
Concord Public Works says it will be making significant savings.
CONCORD, MA — The Keyes Road and Walden Street parking lots reconstruction/repaving project is being delayed to next summer. The Town said the current timeline to see it completed - by Sept. 1, 2017 - makes for tough bidding from the Town's perspective, as the short timeline "would result in a significant premium being paid if the existing July/August 2017 schedule were maintained."
Concord Public Works said "considerable cost savings" are to be had by delaying it. The work will still be done in part overnight as to minimize disruption.
Some incidental work may still occur between now and July 2018.
