Concord's Emerson Hospital Welcomes Two Christmas Babies

Both babies were born on Christmas morning.

CONCORD, MA — Two pairs of parents at Emerson Hospital in Concord welcomed the best Christmas gift, their two babies on Christmas day. Both babies were born on Christmas morning. The happy families posed for their first photos for the hospital to share.

The first baby was Astrid Folgerfield of Shirley. She was quick to join the Christmas spirit and arrived at 12:14 a.m. on Christmas morning.

The second baby was Julian Mendez of Townsend. Still a morning baby, he took a bit more time and arrived at 9:38 a.m. His father made sure to dress for the occasion, wearing a Patriots hat to honor Julian Edelman who his son is named after.

The babies were wrapped in little Christmas stockings, courtesy of the hospital and donned tiny hats. Each hat was hand knit by volunteers in Emerson's maternity ward.
