CONCORD, MA — Concord reported 12 positive cases of the new coronavirus, as of Monday. The town estimates the number of people infected and not showing symptoms is higher and said the lack of availability of tests means many people who are symptomatic are not being tested or reported as positive cases.

Concord is advising residents to stay home when possible and to assume that the virus is widespread and that anyone you meet could be infectious. "Please stay at home as requested by Governor Baker and maintain social distancing of 6-10 feet when you must be out in public to complete necessary errands," the town said in a message to the community.

The Department of Conservation and Recreation is implementing a one-way trail loop system at Walden Pond State Reservation in the Town of Concord in an effort to promote social distancing and reduce close contact of trail users at the state park. Each trailhead will be clearly marked with signage to guide visitors.
