Annual Forge Pond Fun Regatta

On Forge Pond, Westford, MA, 09/15/12,
9 AM instruction begins for rowers, grill opens 11 AM

Come  ROW
in the Forge Pond 500M fun sprint race.  From
age 12 and up  -   you’re never too old to try rowing.  No experience necessary.  Rowing is a non-weight bearing sport that
exercises every muscle in your body.  $15
per rower - register by September 1^st and receive a Forge Pond Fun
Regatta T-shirt.

A fun team building event for corporations, civic groups, families,
friends!

Bring along your cheering squad to watch you race in the regatta!

Crew team
members and coaches will explain and demonstrate how to row and provide
participants with an opportunity to practice and fine-tune their rowing
technique on ergs (dry land rowing exercise machines) prior to the launch and
race of their 8 person shells.  Two experienced crew members and coxswain
will be part of each 8 person rowing shell and provide on-the-water guidance to
help each boat’s 6 participants during their adventure.  Rowers please arrive by 8:30 AM for
check-in!

Enjoy a beach bash with
cook-out, music, face painting, obstacle course, and more while cheering on the
rowers in their races.  Children’s wrist
bands include all kids activities and lunch – $6 in advance, $10 at the event.
