How important is winning? What academic expectations should we have for athletes? How do sports relate to the rest of an institution? These subjects and many more will be discussed by Elliot Lilien on Thursdays April 5 and 12 at 7 p.m. This two-part program for parents, coaches, or others interested in this subject addresses subjects such as ethics, practice, officials, parents, and publicity.
Elliot Lilien brings a wealth of teaching and coaching experience at the high school and college level. Mr. Lilien was Head Fencing Coach, Concord-Carlisle High 1965-1985, Head Fencing Coach, Brown University 1986-1993, Head Mens Tennis Coach, Concord-Carlisle High 1990-2000, Fencing Coach, Harvard University 2001-2005 and Commissioner, Northeast Intercollegiate Fencing Conference, 1993-2012.
