Firefighters Extinguish Small Mulch Fire at Emerson Hospital

CONCORD, MA—The Concord Fire Department extinguished a small mulch fire at Emerson Hospital on Saturday afternoon.

Concord Fire Chief Mark Cotreau told Patch that the fire was located approximately 100 feet from emergency room unit at the hospital, and it was extinguished quickly. The cause of the fire is unknown.

"It's been hot and it's been dry," Cotreau said." It could have been many different things, but it was very minor."

No one was injured as a result of the fire.
