From Dawn to Dead of Night:  Revolutionary War Encampment at the Concord Museum

The lawn
of the Concord Museum will be transformed on April 18 & 19 into an

overnight Revolutionary War Encampment. Come watch on Friday afternoon as
Minute Men re-enactors from David Brown’s Company assemble on the lawn of the
Museum and set-up camp on the eve of the anniversary of April 19, 1775.  Bring the kids to take in the sights and
sounds of an extraordinary day in history.
The re-enactors will camp out overnight and march at dawn to the Old
North Bridge for a Dawn Salute.  From 1 –

5 pm on Saturday, explore the encampment, talk with re-enactors, and watch
musket demonstrations.  In the galleries
participate in colonial crafts and games, try on period costumes, and attend a
special gallery talk with Curator David Wood and militaria expert Joel Bohy

from Skinner, Inc. at 2:00 p.m.
All
activities free with Museum admission, Members free.
