Karen Kirsten will share the story of her mother, who was born in the Warsaw ghetto, smuggled out and later rescued and hidden by many brave people – including a Nazi SS officer.      

An Internet executive responsible for building top brands, most recently for TripAdvisor® Inc., Karen is now writing a book about her mother’s experience and the people who saved her.  Although born Jewish, Karen was raised Christian in Australia. Now a U.S. citizen, Karen fosters open-minded conversations on difficult topics through her family’s story – to promote tolerance and diminish prejudice and indifference in our world.
