ICYMI: Local Boy Hit By SUV at Bus Stop, Transported to Emerson Hospital

An Acton driver failed to stop for a school bus and hit a 6-year-old boy Thursday morning, police said.

The boy was transported to Emerson Hospital and treated for “very minor injuries,” police said.

The driver was a 28-year-old woman at the wheel of a black Nissan sport utility vehicle. She was charged with failure to stop for a school bus and driving without a license, police said. Her name was not released.

Police said she struck the boy with the passenger side of her SUV as he was boarding a bus on School Street.

Police said the warning lights and signals on the bus were working properly.
