"IMAGINE", Paintings and Mixed Media Work by Sanya Colson-Inam

Throughout the month of October (Oct. 4th - Oct. 31st), ARTScape @ The Braford Mill presents Imagine, a solo exhibit, with original artwork by Sandrine (aka Sanya) Colson-Inam.

“Imagine” is an exhibit by Sandrine Colson-Inam (aka Sanya). In this exhibit, Sanya invites her viewers to see the invisible out of her work; to make up their own stories and let their mind imagine the end of stories her mixed media or paintings are starting for them. In this series Sanya expresses her personal ideas about emotional expression, resulting in richly textured abstract canvases in various color schemes that incorporate mixed-media elements. The compositions are abstract and emotional, referencing natural forms and movement, filled with bright paint swirls of color, playful paper cut-outs, and three-dimensional objects.

An opening reception with the artist will be held at the ARTScape Small Gallery, October 9 from 6-8 p.m.
Sandrine Colson-Inam signs her work as Sanya. Born in Provence, France, she is a world traveler and has visited many countries in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe. She lived in France: Bandol, Marseille, Paris; Red Bank (NJ), Chicago (IL), and now resides in Boston. Her work has been exhibited in many places and galleries throughout New England as well as in Paris (France). Her studio is based in Concord, MA. She studied Physics and Material Science in Paris (France) and obtained a Ph.D. in Ceramics Science and Engineering from Rutgers University. She is presently a part-time Math and Physics teacher, focusing on mastering her art as a painter, mixed media and jewelry artist. She has worked in various corporate companies and schools.
