Infographic: Could You Survive Without a Car in Concord?

CONCORD, MA—Few people would mind never having to pay upwards of $60 to fill up their gas tank, but we all know that is not a possibility in many communities.

Particularly in Concord, where many residents may find themselves hopping in the car to complete the most necessary tasks. What would happen if you didn't have a car? Would you be able to survive without one?

FindTheHome.com attempted to tackle that question. The real estate listing and research website issued a "WalkIQ" walkability score for every city and town in Middlesex County. The WalkIQ is a relative score measured by finding the number of stores, amenities, points of interest and parks that are within walking distance for the median home in each community

Communities were given a score between 0 and 100. Concord received a "WalkIQ" of 49, which is on the lower end of the spectrum in the county. However, neighboring communities such as Acton (41), Carlisle (19) and Bedford (43) all scored lower.
