Man Charged with Giving Fake Name to Concord Police During Traffic Stop

• 8:57 a.m. A mother called police and said her two sons were fighting each other at a home on Old Marlboro Road. Police responded and found "substantial damage" to the inside of the home, but the sons were not there.
• 10:07 a.m. A driver was issued a verbal warning for speeding on the Cambridge Turnpike.
• 10:19 a.m. A driver was cited for speeding on the Concord Turnpike.
• 11:31 a.m. The owner of a gas station on Commonwealth Avenue said it was burglarized. Police said they found burglary tools at the scene.
• 1:39 p.m. A black dog was reported running loose on Powder Mill Road.
• 1:51 p.m. A woman on Old Pickard Road said her computer was stolen from her home.
• 5:40 p.m. Mariano Cruz, 31, of Everett, was charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and giving a false name to police.

• 5:13 a.m. A manhole cover was reported jutting upward on Walden Street. Officer coned off the area and notified the Pubic Works Department so it could replace the cover.
• 10:45 a.m. A man on Monsen Road called police, saying he had an "issue" with his neighbor's dog.
• 7:36 p.m. A missing cat was reported on Southfield Road.
• 8:39 p.m. Eber Ortiz, 33, of 6 Azalea Ct., Acton, was charged with unlicensed operation of a vehicle and failure to stop/yield.
