"I am writing to make clear that the Concord Police Department deplores the actions and inactions of the police officers that resulted in the tragic death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020.
Our Department is committed to treating all people with dignity and respect. Our officers are well trained in many subject areas and are expected to deescalate volatile situations whenever possible. We will continue to implement best policing practices that comport with the needs our community.
