Musketaquid Art Ramble 2017 Closing Reception: Picnic with the Artists

Please join the artists who created this exhibit for a picnic in the Hapgood Wright Town Forest at noon on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

The Art Ramble 2017 is coming to a close. Please join the artists who created this exhibit for a picnic at the Fairyland Pond benches in the Hapgood Wright Town Forest at noon on Sunday October 1. Bring a bag lunch and something to share if you would like.

In honor of Henry David Thoreau’s 200th birthday, this exhibit encouraged artists to create work that slows the viewer’s experience of the natural world. This site-specific exhibit reveals the natural and human history and unique character of the Concord Hapgood Wright Town Forest through works that encourage contemplation, play, discovery and participation.

If you haven’t yet visited the exhibit, this is a great opportunity to stop by, slow down and see the unique works of art and how they fit in the natural setting. Parking for the Hapgood Wright Town Forest is located across from the entrance to the Concord-Carlisle High School. This event is presented by the Musketaquid Program of the Umbrella Community Arts Center. For information, email nancy@theumbrellaarts.org.
