New Concord Senior Tax Reduction on June 8th Ballot
Concord will vote on a new property tax reduction for seniors with limited incomes at a Special Town Election on Thursday, June 8th.
The proposed reduction will be available to all Concord homeowners age 65 or older with incomes of $57,000 or less if single or $86,000 if married who have lived in Concord for 10 years or more. The value of their property must be less than Concord's median assessed value, and the owners may not have excessive assets. The reduction will be funded by a shift in the residential tax rate.

The new reduction was passed strongly at Concord's April 24th Town Meeting, and if it passes at the June 8th election it will go into effect during the coming year.
The Special Election will take place on Thursday, rather than the usual Tuesday, due to the unavailability of some polling places.
