Nor'easter Slams Concord

Torrential rain dropped more than 3 inches, while wind gusts hit 45 mph.

Concord was slammed by a nor’easter that knocked down power lines and flooded road across the state Thursday morning.

Torrential rain dropped more than 3 inches, while wind gusts hit 45 mph and isolated thunderstorms popped up. There were no major power outages in Concord and no reports of injuries or damage as of 9 a.m.

In Newton, part of I-95 was closed because of flooding.

Heavy rain was expected to continue through 11 a.m., at which point the rain was expected to taper off. Scattered showers were in the forecast for Friday. Saturday was expected to be sunny.
