Not a Typo: Gas Drops to $1.99 All Over Mass.
One station was selling it for $1.97 Friday.
You read that correctly—gas has dropped below $2 a gallon all over Massachusetts.
Malden’s King Petroleum on Friday morning had the cheapest gas in the state at $1.97, according to GasBuddy.

In Concord, Concord Gas had the cheapest price at $2.33.
Massachusetts gas prices this week hit an average of $2.36—down 11 cents from last week and about a dollar from a year ago, according to AAA Southern New England. The national average is currently about $2.20.

Prices will likely continue to fall through June, Bloomberg reported.
Here are several local gas stations that were selling gas for below $2 Friday, according to GasBuddy:
- $1.97: King Petroleum, Malden
- $1.99: Southbridge Gas, Southbridge
- $1.99: Costco, Dedham
- $1.99: Gas Depot, Brockton
- $1.99: US Petro, Roslindale
