OBITUARY - George Hunsaker

George Hunsaker passed away on Friday, June 27 at his home in Littleton, Mass..  He was born in Boston on May 15,  1945, the son of the late Elizabeth and Jerome Hunsaker of Weston, Mass . 

 

George was born with Down Syndrome, which has shaped his life.    He lived for over thirty years in Littleton  at the Minuteman Arc  Littleton House. He had a wonderful life there and was a central figure in his own community.   Until last fall, he worked and participated regularly at the TILL Day Hab program in Hudson, Mass.  He was an active and prominent member of his home, befriended  and loved by staff and residents alike.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Hunsaker and Jerome C. Hunsaker of Lincoln, MA.

He is survived by a  sister and brother-in-law, Melanie and Edward Ranney of Santa Fe, NM,  three nieces,  Amelia, Lucy, and Eleanor, four great-nieces and three great-nephews,  and also by a younger brother and sister-in-law, Jerome and Marcie Hunsaker of Wenham, MA,  and two  nieces,  Alice and Julia.

 

Family and friends will gather to honor and remember George on Monday, July 28th at 11:00 am in the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 54 Walden St., Concord.
