OBITUARY- Peter A. Coffey

Peter Andre Coffey, 70 , of Keene, New Hampshire, formerly of Concord, Mass. died Tuesday February 25, 2014 in Keene.

Born in Concord on September 23, 1943 he was the son of the late Albert M. and Elizabeth L. (O'Brien) Coffey. He grew up in Concord and in his youth he served as the mascot for the Concord High School band.

He attended Rose Hawthorne School in Concord and was a 1961 graduate of Concord High School. While in High School, he served as Junior Drum Major in the marching band. He later attended Nasson College in Maine and Massachusetts Culinary School in Boston.

Mr. Coffey was a former employee at Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. where he worked in registration and dining services. He was also employed in registration at The Lenox Hotel in Boston and as a travel planner for the American Automobile Association in Boston.

He was a former resident of Boston and Florida and has resided in Keene for the past ten years.

In Keene, he was a volunteer for the Family Service Recreation Department for Senior Citizens and also volunteered in community service in the Keene area.

He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary C. Sleeper of Greenfield, NH, formerly of Concord and Carlisle, and Eileen Dunbrack and her husband Richard of Concord, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was also the brother of the late Albert Coffey, John Coffey, Joseph Coffey, David Coffey and Margaret Jepsen, and brother-in-law of the late Carroll Sleeper.

Visitation:
Funeral and visitation will be held Thursday March 6th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center from 10 to 10:45 am.

Service:
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday March 6th at 11 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.


Cemetery:
Interment will be at a later date in the family burial plot in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord
