“Permission to Pause” with Catherine Collins at Concord Library

Relaxation series

CONCORD –The Concord Free Public Library is pleased to offer "Permission to Pause", a relaxation series with Catherine Collins, RN, MS. Please join us for a lunchtime session to pause in the middle of a busy day to learn some simple techniques to cultivate mindfulness. This drop-in series will run on Tuesdays from February 6 through April 3 at 12 PM in the Main Library's Transcendental Alcove (129 Main Street).

The 30-minute sessions will cover the following:

February 6: Breathing techniques to incorporate relaxation and a sense of ease during a busy day.

February 13: Practice techniques learned in the previous session

February 20: Body scan and guided imagery to access a quiet place in one’s mind and body.

February 27: No session

March 6: Review and Practice

March 13: Progressive muscle relaxation and guided meditation techniques for mindful relaxation.

March 20: Review and Practice

March 27: Sleep tips and techniques for falling asleep and returning to sleep after interruptions.

April 3: More relaxation and sleep tips

Free and open to all.
