Police Called for 'Strange' Middle Eastern Man at Concord Provisions
The following are excerpts from the Concord police log. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.
Wed., June 18
- 1:54 a.m. Suspicious activity was reported on Main Street. It turned out to be a lost motorist.
- 10:04 a.m. A minor car crash was reported near 365 Main St.
- 10:05 a.m. Jeremy Bailey, 26, of Lexington, was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended registration.
- 10:34 a.m. A clerk at Concord Provisions called police, saying a there was a "rude" Middle Eastern man in the store "acting strange." An officer responded to the scene but couldn't locate the man.
- 11:21 a.m. Maurice Ryan, 27, of Acton, was charged with operating a vehicle with suspended license. He was also arrested on a warrant out of Lowell District Court.
- 4:25 p.m. A caller said a moving van was stuck under the railroad bridge on Main Street. An officer was dispatched to the scene but couldn't locate the vehicle.
- 5:43 p.m. A lost tan-colored pug was reported on Garfield Road.
- 9:31 p.m. Dawn Mills, of Hubbardston, was charged with operating a vehicle with a revoked license.
- 10:06 p.m. A resident of Belknap Street called police, saying he heard an "upset female" near Cottage Lane. Police responded and talked with the woman, who said she was upset over a "school issue."
- 9:22 a.m. A hit-and-run was reported on Baker Avenue.
- 2:57 p.m. A two-car crash was reported on Old Marlboro Road. No one was injured.
- 4:25 p.m. A caller said an elderly man was trying to hitchhike on Route 2A.
- 4:56 p.m. A caller said a tree limb fell into power lines on Hayward Mill Road.
- 9:16 p.m. Benjamin Lesser, 21, of Concord, was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended/revoked license and operating a vehicle without insurance.
