Police Log: Missing Ray-Bans, a Cyclist Struck and a Car on the Tracks

Saturday, Jan. 12
2:52 a.m. – An abandoned 911 call came in from Silver Hill Road. One the call back, police spoke with a resident who said she made the call after hearing noises inside her residence, but now believes those noises were caused by her cat chasing a mouse.
9:14 a.m. – A woman walked into the station requesting to speak with an officer about a lost pair of Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses worth an estimated $700.

10:49 a.m. – An Old Pickard Road resident reported a dog running loose in her yard.
2 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident on Cambridge Turnpike by the Crosby’s Mobil. One of the drivers involved was issued a citation for failure to use care.

2 p.m. – An attendant from Cumberland Farms called in a parking complaint about a vehicle parked in their lot. The vehicle, which was blocking gas tanks but on private property, was eventually towed by Sal’s Auto.
3:52 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a minivan with its sliding door open that had behind the Nashoba Brook Bakery for the past few hours.
5:25 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an illegally parked SUV in front of an Everett Gardens resident. The vehicle’s owner moved the car upon the responding officer’s arrival.
Sunday, Jan. 13
9:53 a.m. – A Fairhaven Road resident reported a lost chocolate Lab that went missing around midnight the previous day.
10:29 a.m. – A Shore Drive resident reported a loose dog in his neighborhood. Police left a message with the dog’s owner, who brought it back in the house.
12 p.m. – A bicyclist called 911 to report being struck b a motor vehicle in the area of Estabrook and Barnes Hill roads. While police were en route, the involved driver called to report the incident.
3:52 p.m. – Emerson Security requested assistance with two women who were in possession of drugs at the hospital. One of the women, a Newbury resident, will be summonsed for possession of a Class A substance and possession of a Class B substance.
4 p.m. – A Concord woman walked into the station with a purple HTC phone she found near one of the buildings at Concord Greene.
6:52 p.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled motor vehicle on the tracks at the Conant Street crossing in West Concord. The vehicle was moved off of the tracks, and the responding officer stood by with the driver until his ride arrived.
