"Power of the Flower", curator Monika Andersson at Concord Art

Concord Center for the Visual Arts; aka Concord Art, invites you to an art exhibit called “Power of the Flower”. The exhibit runs from June 14 - August 12, 2018 and features the work of twenty-two artists, who ponder the fragile power of the flower. The opening reception on Thursday, June 14th from 6-8 pm
What is it about the flower?
"From a cactus flower in the desert to the serene lotus living on water, flowers inhabit every continent of the world. A morning glory lives less than one day. The longer living orchids last for some weeks at most. The flowers’ life spans are short. Their petals are fragile. Yet the power of the flower is remarkable. What is it about a flower that is so spellbinding? Is it the heady scent? The fragile beauty? If bees and butterflies could write, the world would be full of love poems about flowers. But people are equally entranced….."
