Rideout Park Construction Starts, Bringing Changes

Here's what you need to know as work starts on what could be a 10-week project.

CONCORD, MA — The construction for Rideout Park has started, meaning some changes for the area.

First, the parking lot along Laws Brook Road will be closed. That's going to be replaced with new park lawns and landscaping. During this time, a new parking lot will take over at the vacant lot east of the basketball court.

A new sidewalk and curbing is going to be installed along Laws Brook Road. During this time pedestrians will need to use the opposite side walkway.

The existing outfield fencing is being removed and a new curved fence installed, so the Little League field closes to Laws Brook Road will be closed. Other portions of the park may be closed if safety concerns arise.

There will be limited parking available at the Conant Street lot.

Tree removal and demolition is scheduled to begin finish the first week of August. Paving is scheduled from Aug. 3-28. The project is expected to be completed by early October.
