Sarasa Presents "La Voix Francoise"

A sumptuous feast of French Baroque music from Louis XIV's court. Sarasa: "Radiating elegance and eloquence..." The Boston Globe

Sarasa presents “La Voix Françoise”, a sumptuous feast of French Baroque instrumental pieces, including works by central figures at Louis XIV’s court: François Couperin Le Grand, Marin Marias, and the brilliant and mysteriously murdered violinist Jean-Marie Leclair. Harpsichord solos by Jacques Duphly interspersed with Airs de cour by Michel Lambert capture the elegance of le bon goût, and the program finishes with Michel Pignolet de Montéclair’s retelling of the Greek classic Pan et Syrinx with soprano Emily van Evera.
