Chock this up as a good week for the Concord Post 158 American Legion baseball team.
On Tuesday, Concord utilized a much-needed holiday weekend of rest to defeat Lexington Post 38 5-4 at Emerson Playground. The win was big, considering Post 158 dragged through a tough stretch of four games in four nights the week before.
A first-inning grand slam by Ben Price gave Concord an early lead, which Dylan Katz-Wicks made stick with a solo home run later in the game.

The end of summer, at least in terms of baseball, has come for several Concord-Carlisle Cal Ripken teams. . Still, all can consider the season a success considering it was their first trip to the tournament and all came away with at least one win.
