This week was a rollercoaster of emotions for the Concord-Carlisle High School football team.
The Patriots kicked off the week with a convincing 28-7 victory over Newton South last Friday. This past Friday night, C-C travelled to a soggy Leary Field at Acton-Boxborough High School and lost a close game 14-7 to the Colonials.
Against Newton South, the Patriots were led by tailback George Craan. The junior runner scored all four touchdowns for C-C.

At Acton when a fourth down pass barely fell incomplete. Down seven with less than 2 minutes remaining, coach Mike Robichaud called for the halfback option pass, but Craan's toss just tipped off the fingertips of quarterback Peter George.
Also this week, the CCHS girls' volleyball team dominated Boston Latin in a 3-0 sweep. Two-year captain Leigh Blumenberg had 10 kills in the victory.
