Summer Programs with CC ACE and Wicked Cool for Kids

We have full day and half day options from June 26th - July 21st!

Join Concord-Carlisle Adult & Community Education & Wicked Cool for Kids for a variety of fun-filled and educational programs this summer, with both full-day and half-day options!

Our full day options include:

Rocket Science ‘17 features the all new Viking research rocket. Map distant constellations, create glittering moon rocks, and make galaxy slime as part of your out-of-this-world lunar journey. Rocket Science is for students entering grades 1-5 in September and will run full days, from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, June 26th – 30th.

LEGO Robotics WeDo 2.0 teaches kids programming skills while making science come to life! The newly designed software and LEGO building kits X32 allows kids to make untethered, free-roaming robots X45 capable of completing structured and open ended tasks. Lego Wedo 2.0 is for students entering grades 2-6 in September, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, July 3rd – 7th. (Please note: there is no program on Tuesday, July 4th.)

Minecraft Mania is a blend of virtual learning and companion hands-on activities that explore science and engineering using Minecraft. Engage in both computer and real world activities covering geology, engineering, physics, and biology. Minecraft Mania is for students entering grades 1-5 in September, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, July 10th – 14th.

Minecraft Mastercrafters is an advanced Minecraft program where educational gaming is offered together with our hands-on science and engineering activities. Hone your Minecraft skills in this teacher-controlled platform where you learn and interact virtually in a classroom setting. Minecraft Mastercrafters is for students entering grades 2-6 in September, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, July 17th – 21st.

Half day options include:

Paleontologist? Geologist? Archeologist? You’ll dig our biggest “in the dirt” week yet. Unearth the secrets of ancient Egypt to see how Pharaohs were buried and then make your own mini mummies. Dig Big! Is for students entering grades K-5 in September, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, June 26th – 30th.

Get shakin’ with the maker movement. This DIYbased workshop lets you complete challenging building kits and repurpose items using the engineering and design process to dream up something new, useful, fabulous, or just plain fun. Maker Shaker Workshop is for students entering grades K-5 in September, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, July 3rd – 7th. (Please note: there is no program on Tuesday, July 4th.)

Spend a wild wacky week at the Wicked Cool Lab. Grow enormous polymer cubes and create your own super stretchy formulas from chemical concoctions. Wicked Wacky Lab Week is for students entering grades K-5 in September, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, July 10th – 14th.

Do you dream of becoming a veterinarian? Grab your lab coat, animal lovers, as we learn about our favorite furry, flying and fishy friends! End the week with a featured visit with a live animal. Wicked Cool Vet School is for students entering grades 1-5 in September, from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, July 17th – 21st.

Concord-Carlisle Adult & Community Education is a part of the Concord-Carlisle Regional School District and provides opportunities for lifelong learning to the citizens of the school district and surrounding towns.
