The Thoreau Club and the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary Launch Wellness Program
Two health institutions join forces for wellness.
The Thoreau Club and the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary have teamed together to create a new program called "3G—A Family Adventure." The program has three primary purposes—Get your family moving, Give to Emerson Hospital's Bethke Cancer Center, and feel Great.
The Thoreau Club, a leader in health and wellness, in partnership with the Emerson Hospital Auxiliary, is launching this type of event for the second year. The program is designed to help individuals and families improve their overall fitness while also contributing to a cause.
The month-long event allows both club members and non-members to pay a fee ($100/family for Thoreau members and $299 for non-members) to participate in family-friendly programs, including activities like small group fitness sessions, family learn-to-play tennis jamborees, kids fitness programs, spa samplers, water baby infant safety classes, family meal planning sessions, and more.

A portion of the proceeds from the program benefit Emerson Hospital's Bethke Cancer Center. Last year's program raised $14,000 for the Bethke Cancer Center and drew more than 200 participants.
The Thoreau Club is dedicated to increasing the wellness of the residents and employees of Concord and the surrounding communities. "We loved the idea of helping families learn to lead healthier lifestyles while supporting our Bethke Cancer Center," said Christine Schuster, president and CEO of Emerson Hospital.
