CONCORD, MA – Weston educator Matt Lucey has been named the next principal of Willard Elementary School, the district announced Wednesday. Lucey is in his 10th year as principal of the Field School in Weston. He previously worked as the director of Information, Technologies and Libraries in Weston, director of Business and Technology in Littleton and a social studies teacher in Hamilton-Wenham. Lucey earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts and Master of Arts in history and Master of Education from Boston College. He was selected from a pool of three finalists that included elementary school principals in Groton and Wenham. Lucey assumes administrative duties July 1.
